Getting started

How your Arata workspace works

Understand how your organization, team access, and business records fit together in Arata.

Your organization is your workspace

Each organization has its own Arata workspace. Its team members, products, customers, orders, invoices, and settings belong to that organization. If you work with more than one organization, sign in to the organization address you want to use; the workspaces stay separate.

Your role controls your access

An organization administrator invites people and gives them roles. A role controls which records a person can view and which actions they can take. Some buttons or pages may not appear when your role does not include the needed permission.

Ask an administrator to review your access if a task is missing. Do not share an administrator account to work around a permission limit; each teammate should use their own account.

Records connect your work

Partners can be linked to orders, invoices, and statements. Products and variants are used on sales and purchase documents. Deliveries and receipts update stock, while invoices and payments show what has been billed and paid.

This means changes to one part of the workspace can affect related records. For example, confirming a sales order reserves available stock, and delivering it changes the stock quantity.

History stays with the record

Arata keeps document timelines and stock movement history so your team can understand what happened. Records such as products and partners that have been used are archived instead of deleted, preserving their past documents.

Organization administrators can change organization settings, roles, and custom fields. Ask them before changing shared setup that affects how your whole team works.
