Build your product catalog

Create products and sellable variants, then add the prices and tax details your documents need.

Products keep shared information such as the name, category, and tax rate. A variant represents a specific item you buy or sell, with its own SKU, barcode, prices, and stock.

Create a product

  1. Open ERP → Products and choose New product.
  2. Enter a product name and unique product code. Add a category and default tax rate if you use them.
  3. Add at least one variant with a unique SKU. Enter its standard sale and cost prices, and a barcode or reorder level if useful.
  4. Save the product.

If the product comes in sizes, colors, or other options, add a variant for each sellable combination. Each variant has its own stock and can appear separately on an order.

Categories and tax rates

Categories help organize and filter the catalog. Tax rates are configured in ERP → Setup and can be selected when creating or editing products. The tax and price used on an existing document are saved on that document, so later catalog changes do not rewrite past sales.

Import from a spreadsheet

For a larger catalog, use the product import tool in ERP → Setup. Export a sample or existing CSV first, then match your spreadsheet columns to the supported format. Review the import results and fix any rows reported as invalid before importing again.

Archive a product

Archive products you no longer sell instead of deleting them. This preserves historical documents. You can restore an archived product later.

You need product permissions to manage the catalog. Stock is tracked by variant and warehouse; see Track and adjust stock.
